At-Bristol
At-Bristol's mission is to make science accessible to all,
through promoting scientific literacy and engagement with the
public and improving science learning in schools. It provides a
place of contact and communication between the general public,
scientists, researchers, educators, communicators, industrialists
and policy makers. We aspire to be a centre of excellence for
active, discovery-based learning, and have had considerable success
since opening our doors in 2000.
At-Bristol hosts over 185,000 visitors a year, including 40,000
educational visits. We have welcomed over four million people
to date and continue to be a popular draw for local people and
visitors to the city.
The At-Bristol team has developed expertise in exhibition
development, project management, learning programme development,
dialogue events and teacher professional development alongside
running a successful visitor attraction. Recent projects
include the touring exhibition Inside DNA, the skills sharing
collaboration Embedding Debate and dialogue plus the immensely
popular partnership with Aardman to create Animate it!
At-Bristol is responsible for the development and delivery of
the In the Zone Touring Exhibition.
